Young Creatives Launch 2025

With the start of the new academic year underway, we were absolutely thrilled to welcome eight talented young choreographers to the launch of this year’s Young Creatives programme. Over an intensive two-day gathering, the group came together to explore new ways of making and moving, setting the stage for what promises to be an inspiring journey ahed.

Young Creatives is a unique two-year programme designed to nurture and support aspiring choreographers from across the UK. The initiative offers participants the opportunity to refine their choreographic voice, gain practical industry insights, and connect with some of the most ecxiting artists working in dance today.

This year, we are delighted to be joining forces once again with Sadler’s Wells’ Making Moves programme, building on our partnership to provide young artists with the tools, knowledge, and inspiration to thrive in their choreographic journeys.

The launch event saw the new Young Creatives working closely with world-class choreographers Fin Walker, Ivan Blackstock, Richard Alston, and Thick & Tight. Across the two days, the group took a deep dive into each artist’s creative practice and choreographic ideas.

If this is only the beginning of their creative journey, we cannot wait to witness how their ideas evolve and their choreographic voices develop over the course of the programme. The Young Creatives initiative is all about fostering future leaders in dance, and after such a dynamic start, we are confident this cohort will go on to create bold, innovative, and thought-provoking work.
