European technology company Lanced, today launches Lanced 2.0, its biggest platform update to date. Titled “Da Vinci,” the new platform introduces completely rebuilt experiences for artists and performing arts organizations and marks a major expansion of Lanced beyond the audition process.

Originally created to rethink auditions, Lanced is broadening its scope to support more of the infrastructure surrounding artistic careers and artistic hiring.

For artists, Lanced 2.0 introduces new ways to build their professional identity, organize and showcase their work, manage applications and create a stronger digital presence around their artistry.

For organisations, it introduces a completely rebuilt environment for discovering talent, managing Calls, collaborating on artistic selections, communicating with artists and building talent networks that extend beyond a single audition.

With Lanced 2.0, the company looks to solidify its position within the European performing arts ecosystem and further expand its reach among artists and organizations across the continent.

“When we started Lanced, we started with a very specific problem: auditions,” says Wouter Vertogen, Co-Founder and CEO of Lanced. “But auditions are only one moment in a much bigger ecosystem. Artists are building entire careers, while organizations are continuously discovering talent, building relationships and making artistic decisions. Lanced 2.0 is our first major step towards building infrastructure for that entire journey.”

The Artist Version of Lanced 2.0 puts the artistic career at the center of the experience.

Artists can now build richer professional profiles, manage their work through a centralized Media Library, create and maintain multiple resumes, and keep track of their applications and opportunities.

The update also introduces Lanced Studio, giving artists new ways to showcase individual works, projects, media and credits and build a shareable digital presence around their artistic identity.

For performing arts organizations, Lanced 2.0 introduces a completely rebuilt hiring environment designed specifically around artistic selection.

Organizations can create different types of Calls, manage applicants through the new Hiring Room, collaborate on selections, communicate directly with artists and organize talent through Artist Pools.

The platform is built around the realities of artistic decision-making, where experience and technical ability exist alongside potential, presence, personality, profile, artistic fit and timing.

To mark the release, Lanced is hosting four live digital launch sessions throughout September 1, introducing both versions of the new platform to artists and organizations across the performing arts.
