Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Beatrice Parma has been honoured at this year’s National Dance Awards with the accolade of “Outstanding Female Classic Performance” for her role as Lise in La Fille mal gardée.
Director of Birmingham Royal Ballet, Carlos Acosta said: “We are thrilled that Beatrice Parma has been honoured at this year’s prestigious National Dance Awards. This recognition is testament to the hard work and dedication of this incredible Company of Dancers.”
“Beatrice is a huge talent that we are lucky to have within our Company and her performance in La Fille mal gardée was just one of her brilliant on-stage roles and performances.”
The Birmingham Royal Ballet company are currently visiting the USA with a tour of their hit production of Black Sabbath The Ballet before visiting Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya in Japan with The Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.
Black Sabbath - The Ballet will return to the UK with a tour beginning at Birmingham Hippodrome from 18 to 27 September and then visiting Manchester’s The Lowry, Salford (8 – 11 Oct) Theatre Royal Plymouth (16 – 18 Oct) Sadler’s Wells, London (22 – 25 Oct) and Edinburgh Festival Theatre (30 Oct – 1 Nov).
