Aurelius Ballet: A New Chapter in Elite Classical Ballet Training

Aurelius Ballet is a new specialist classical ballet training programme launching in the East Midlands in September 2027, offering dedicated young dancers aged 9–18 the opportunity to develop their technical ability, artistry and musicality alongside their existing dance education.

Founded by Christina Phillips-Kelly, an experienced classical ballet teacher and Royal Ballet School Affiliate teacher, Aurelius Ballet has been created to provide an additional level of focused training for aspiring dancers. Working alongside Artistic Director Daniela Delerci, a former English National Ballet dancer with an extensive professional performance and choreographic background, the programme brings together complementary teaching expertise and a shared commitment to nurturing young talent.

A Programme Designed to Complement Existing Training

Aurelius Ballet is not intended to replace a dancer's current ballet school. Instead, it offers supplementary training designed to work alongside existing teachers and programmes, supporting students in developing greater technical understanding, strength, coordination, musicality and artistic expression. With an emphasis on disciplined, intelligent training, Aurelius Ballet aims to foster resilience, confidence and a genuine appreciation for the art of classical ballet.

Auditions and Applications

Auditions are planned for February 2027, ahead of the programme's opening in September 2027.

Applications of interest are welcomed from dancers aged 9–18 who demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Prospective students, parents and dance teachers are invited to explore the programme and join the priority list. Find out more: www.aureliusballet.co.uk For those who demand more.
