Job Description:

You will have the specific responsibility of delivering strength and condition support our talented young dancers through their development training and rehabilitation. The role requires excellent knowledge and skills and ow to work with healthy and injured athletes or dancers. You will be working as an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team ensuring dancers are well supported. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with a positive and proactive attitude to work.

Working with the Head of Healthcare to support and maximise the performance and rehabilitation services delivered by the Healthcare team:

  • Planning and development of high-quality S&C classes for ENBS Dance Students and other partner groups/individuals
  • Designing, delivering and reviewing bespoke programmes to assist dancers to prepare physically to achieve optimum performance, strength and agility
  • Deliver rehabilitation programmes in collaboration with ENBS physiotherapists and other members of the healthcare staff as needed
  • Monitor student’s progression on their strength and rehabilitation using evidence-based testing and reporting to the Head of Healthcare
  • Support on the design and take part in the profiling and other injury screening processes
  • Produce and analyse reports on programming, dancers' load, and other associated fields as requested by the Head of Healthcare
  • Work closely with other members of the Healthcare team to support the development of holistic health and performance programmes
  • Collaborate with artistic staff and support staff to ensure the vision and mission of the Healthcare team is delivered.
  • Liaise with other members of the Healthcare team from our associate programmes such as the Young Dancers Development Programme as needed
  • Contributing to improving health, wellbeing and education amongst ENBS Dancers
  • Contributing to the Health curriculum by delivering occasional lectures and assignments on the field of S&C
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of good practice, research, and advancements
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings
  • Work effectively with all data management systems to ensure excellent data keeping and effective delivery of work
  • To provide support in any research projects
  • To Regularly inspect gym equipment
  • To raise any safeguarding concerns through the appropriate channel


Essential:

  • Sports Science or Strength & Conditioning Degree (or similar)
  • MSc (or higher) in Strength and Conditioning, Sports Rehabilitation, or a similar subject or equivalent practical experience/qualifications
  • Professional accreditation with UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) or able to achieve it within 6 months
  • Experience planning and delivering S&C programmes in professional sport or dancer
  • Experience in delivering rehabilitation programmes
  • Experience on data collection and analysis
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
