This is a professional development day for artists, educators, practitioners, callers, organisers and anyone interested in folk dance, and in any setting, such as community, education, heritage and participation settings. Presenters include folk dance and music educators Jo Harmer and Cath Watkins from FolkActive, Mary Panton folk dance caller, and Anna Leatherdale, freelance community dance artist and Executive Director, Qualifications with People Dancing, the Foundation for Community Dance.
Expect presentations, short workshops, and opportunities for discussion on safe practice for older people with balance, mobility, cardio, and memory issues.
