Lauren began her journey into physiotherapy in 2012, during which she simultaneously completed a Master’s degree in dance science with a focus on sport and exercise psychology, and assisted the lead physiotherapist for Scottish Ballet.

After graduating from an MSc in Physiotherapy from Aberdeen, Scotland, she began working within the NHS, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Throughout this time, Lauren developed her experience in treating a myriad of conditions by working as a freelance physiotherapist with Scottish Ballet and in a private practice specialising in back pain. She then continued to work in two private practices in London with emphasis on reformer pilates and sports medicine, respectively. Lauren has also attended conferences worldwide (including IADMS and Physios in Sport's 'Hypermobility and Control') in order to enhance her comprehension of physiotherapy for diverse athletes and performers.

Lauren has extensive training in multiple dance forms including ballet, contemporary, hip hop, Argentine tango, swing, blues, and salsa. Combining this with a broad educational background, has resulted in a heightened understanding of the physical and psychological impacts of high performance demands on the human body.

Her special interests lie within injury prevention and rehabilitation of performing artists and athletes and she utilises astute observational skills to thoroughly assess biomechanical disparities and altered movement patterns for all manner of clientele.

Lauren draws on coaching and interpersonal skills to empower individuals of all fitness levels in achieving their goals through personalised treatment programmes and education. Overall, Lauren aims to utilise her experience in order to approach injury prevention and rehabilitation in a more unique, holistic, and meaningful way.
