English National Ballet School is proud to announce it has been graded as Outstanding in all areas in its latest Ofsted report, following a three-day inspection in March. This latest result continues the School’s record of achieving Outstanding since inspections began.

Taking place from the 19 - 21 March 2024, the rigorous inspection saw two of His Majesty’s inspectors attend to critically assess the School’s overall performance, quality of education and training, leadership and management, safeguarding and wellbeing, pupil behaviour and attitudes, and personal development. Across the three-days inspectors observed both artistic and academic classes and met with student representatives, key staff members and members of the board of governors.

The glowing report praised English National Ballet School’s high-quality provision and exceptional support that leads to the majority of students successfully graduating into professional companies around the world.

The report states that students “are extremely well prepared for a career as a ballet dancer” and that “they receive support of an exceptionally high quality to maintain their health and well-being and to prepare them for life as a professional dancer.”  The report also praises the students, stating that they are “highly focused and dedicated to their studies” and states that “the hard work by staff and students leads to exceptional outcomes.”
