U.Dance on Screen 2019

Are you a young filmmaker or choreographer? Do you create film work featuring young dancers? One Dance UK is looking for short dance films to present at U.Dance 2019.

Enter your film now for the opportunity to have your work reviewed by leading dance and film industry experts. This year, we are delighted to announce that selected U.Dance on Screen films will be screened at Southbank Centre and BFI Southbank!

The films will appear across the U.Dance weekend to participants and audience members of the national youth dance festival. Successful submissions will also be shared with One Dance UK followers, that’s over 100,000 people across the One Dance UK platforms!

Enter your dance film for consideration by Monday 29 April.

Mark Reid, Head of Education at BFI Southbank, says

“Here at BFI we are always looking at ways of engaging young people and allowing them to explore their creative talents within the world of film. We are thrilled to be able to support U.Dance on Screen 2019 and can’t wait to see the work submitted from the next generation of filmmakers and choreographers.”

U.Dance on Screen is open to any dance style or genre, and previous experience of creating dance for film is not necessary. Selected U.Dance on Screen films will be added to the One Dance UK YouTube Channel, in a U.Dance On Screen 2019 playlist. They will also feature on the One Dance UK website for one year following the national festival and be promoted to the One Dance UK members and followers.
