We are so pleased to hear good news stories showcasing how U.Dance is providing great opportunities for young people. Ceyda Tanc Dance performed at this years U.Dance 2019 where Richard Alston was an audience member. After seeing the group on stage he invited Ceyda Tanc Dance to perform alongside his company.
Ceyda Tanc Dance tell us how U.Dance 2019 has opened the door for new opportunities
“We are absolutely over the moon that Ceyda Tanc Youth Dance have been invited by Sir Richard Alston to perform alongside his company at the Theatre Royal, Brighton.
I first met Richard at U.Dance 2015 in Plymouth, and he has been extremely supportive of my work and company ever since. We were invited to perform alongside his company in 2015 and it was an absolute career highlight not only for myself, but also for the young dancers that took part.
To be asked back with our new work TOREN is such a huge honour and something we feel extremely grateful for. The Theatre Royal Brighton is such a prestigious venue for us, and one that the young dancers regularly visit to watch performances. To perform on that stage alongside Richard Alston Dance Company is something we are all so excited about.
I feel so proud of the dancers for being selected to represent the South East at U.Dance 2019 and extremely grateful for the continued opportunities it has provided for us.’
