One Dance UK announced that tickets are now available from £20 for the Together for Dance Gala, taking place at the Novello Theatre in London’s West End on Sunday 9 October, 2016 at 6.30pm.

The Together for Dance Gala is the first major fundraising event since One Dance UK came into being as the national body for dance, following the merger in April 2016 of four key national dance organisations*.

Featuring a stellar line-up, Together for Dance is designed to raise much-needed funds towards One Dance UK’s programmes supporting dancers’ health, a diverse range of artist and art form development, and projects for children and young people.

One Dance UK is also delighted to announce that Dame Gillian Lynne, DBE is the Together for Dance Gala Patron.

Mara Galeazzi, former Principal of The Royal Ballet, and Artistic Director of Together for Dance, is curating a programme featuring some of the finest dancers in the UK. Mara, and Gala Producer Jim Fletcher, have brought together artists from BalletBoyz, Company Wayne McGregor, English National Ballet, Impact Youth, Jaivant Patel Dance, New Adventures, with Gary Avis & Zenaida Yanowsky**, Namron, Tommy Franzen & Xena Gusthart, and Mara Galeazzi herself.

Mara Galeazzi comments:

“I am thrilled to have been invited to be Artistic Director for Together for Dance. The artists we have brought together will make for an unforgettable evening of world-class dance which will raise awareness and much-needed funds for the extremely important work of One Dance UK.”

Andrew Hurst, Chief Executive of One Dance UK, said:

“As the first major fundraiser since taking on the role of Chief Executive, I’m really looking forward to Together for Dance – an exciting opportunity to showcase the diversity of dance and dancers that One Dance UK represents, champions and nurtures.
