HOTFOOT is One Dance UK’s bi-annual publication focusing on Dance of the African Diaspora (DAD) and provides a platform for critical debate around the dance practices of the African Diaspora in the UK. We are excited to share the Autumn 2017 edition with you.
The focus of this issue is Transmitting the Dance: Principles, Aesthetic, Technique and Nuance. We interview One Dance UK Patron Peter Badejo OBE about his legacy and contributions to the global diaspora, Alleyne Dance about the influences for their choreographic aesthetic and teaching practice, and many others. Additionally, there are a wide range of articles from UK-based and international contributors, along with book reviews and a roundup of the 2017 Bloom National Festival.
