18 Feb 2016

Pitch n MixThe Point, Eastleigh, is hosting a networking event for emerging artists and graduates.

The Point is working to support early-career artists and graduates from any performance discipline in their move towards a successful career in the arts with vital networking event: Pitch ‘n’ Mix.

Pitch ‘n’ Mix has been created to inform emerging artists and graduates. Staff at The Point are curating the event, supported by industry members who will partake in ‘Meet the Expert’ sessions throughout the day, alongside the presence of the Eastleigh venue’s current Associate Artists. The Artists will be on-hand to chat with attendees, sharing their experiences as early-stage companies and giving pivotal advice with those who seek it.

The day, held on Thursday 17th March, has been put together to cover all important bases for a solo practitioner or emerging company working in any artistic discipline, with workshops on tour booking, marketing, funding and grants, and the foundations for setting up your own arts based company. These workshops go alongside a panel discussion led by industry experts and an opportunity to pitch for support for work by The Point.

Tickets for Pitch ‘n’ Mix are £12 for a full-day pass and dinner or £25 for a full-day pass, dinner and a ticket to an exclusive evening of dance performed by Richard Alston Dance Company. The latter is also a fantastic opportunity for artists to be inspired by an established company.
