Perception: hip hop movement through a contemporary mindset’

One Dance UK member Lindon Barr/Elementz Ent presents Perception as part of Resolution 2018.

Lindon describes the piece as follows:

“Do you wonder how you are perceived by others? Do they see the front that you portray or the reality beneath the surface? We are often perceived in a certain way due to a front that is not a reality; the reality is, we have lost control. At first we have to strip back the layers, discover the issue and bring it to light, to then overpower and control it. Once this control is restored, the path before us becomes clear.”

Perception will be Lindon’s debut choreographic work at The Place as part of Resolution 2018. The performance will take place on Monday 19 February, 8pm as part of a triple bill evening of dance also featuring DJ Hassan (with Access All Areas) & Muti Musafiri.

Choreographer Lindon Barr’s biggest credit to date has been his work on new West End Musical, Exposure (St. James Theatre, Victoria). Lindon received a Broadway World Awards nomination for Best Choreography for his work on the musical. Other choreographic credits include America’s Got Talent, Rock The Circus (German Tour), Hewlett-Packard’s Discover London Conference, Samsung, Mercedes-Benz, Coca Cola, The London Fashion Festival, Vidal Sassoon & Love Box Music Festival. Lindon has also worked with Maltese artist Brooke for her performance at the Bay Music Awards in Malta.
