One Dance UK Commissions Dance Sector Research

28 Sep 2018

One Dance UK announces today that they are about to embark on a new sector-wide research project that will take a closer look at the dance sector.

This research will be commissioned by One Dance UK with support from Arts Council England and the Dance Professionals Fund.  This in-depth study will look into the role and impact of freelancers in the dance sector. The work will assess the current state of the sector in order to ascertain up to date statistics on the make-up of the current workforce and to gather evidence about the current and future needs of the sector.

Andrew Hurst CEO, One Dance UK  comments  “As a Sector Support Organisation, and a membership organisation, it is vital that we understand the needs of our members and the support the sector more broadly needs in order to achieve our vision for a stronger, more vibrant, more diverse future for dance”

One Dance UK are inviting tenders from interested research partners who would like to get involved in this project. They can request a copy of the Invitation to Tender by emailing Andrew Hurst, CEO One Dance UK

Deadline for initial enquiries and questions about the tender:  5 October 2018
