Job Description

Appointment: Part-time (16 hours per week), 6 month fixed-term contract with potential to extend for the right applicant

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £20,000 to £22,000 pro rata (depending on experience)

Holiday entitlement: 25 days plus bank holidays pro rata

Office hours: 9am-5pm, Thursday and Friday preferable. Evening and weekend work will be required at times. Overtime is not paid but discretionary TOIL is offered.

The Role:

We are looking for a mature and enthusiastic individual with some experience of office administration to provide outstanding support to the various courses we run for teacher training (aged 18+).

Reporting to the CEO and Head of Teaching Qualifications (line manager), the position is responsible for providing efficient, effective administrative support for the Head of Teaching Qualifications as part of a small team. Duties  includes (but are not limited to):

  • Initial point of contact for all relevant courses via email and telephone
  • Responsibility for maintaining studio and facilities bookings for all courses
  • Responsibility for coordinating training days and course events (e.g. Graduation Day)
  • Creation and distribution of relevant course materials
  • Processing of course registration documents and payments
  • Process all relevant mailing
  • Database entry and database management to keep accurate records of all students
  • Admin of course submissions
  • Liaison with course faculty to ensure submissions of marked assessments are timely
  • General administrative tasks as required
  • Provide support to course sessions including those at weekends
  • Provide support for the marketing of the courses

The candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, focus on detail and work proactively
