Job Description

The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education and teaching, and to the promotion and development of dance worldwide.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Support Officer to join the Artistic team on a full time, permanent basis at our headquarters in Battersea.

The role will be pivotal in providing high-level support to the Events and Special Projects Manager and will include managing relationships with external parties (funders, sponsors and high profile figures in the dance community). Alongside this, you will provide general office management support to the wider team.

You will have sound experience in events administration as well as substantial experience of providing administrative/secretarial support, ideally at senior level. Experience of diary management and preparing agendas, distributing papers and writing minutes for committee meetings (or similar) is essential.

You will have a real commitment to top quality customer service, high level interpersonal skills and the ability to build successful working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organisational skills, together with the talent to multi-task, prioritise, and see tasks through to completion whilst demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

This is a rewarding and challenging role within the Artistic department at the Royal Academy of Dance, which is a forward thinking, equal opportunities employer. We offer a range of well-being activities, including street dance classes, Pilates, book club and a craft club.
