Job Description
The RAD is seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Training.

Based at RAD HQ in London and reporting to and working closely with the Artistic Director and other stakeholders; you will be responsible for leading the development and enhancement of the RAD student events and activities – in line with our 2016-2020 strategic business plan. This portfolio includes RAD Dance School, Dance Studies (including GCSE, A-level and BTEC dance programmes), RADiate (inclusive dance initiative), student activities (workshops, masterclasses and short courses), seasonal events, competitions and bursaries.

About you

Significant experience of management within a dance or other arts-related organisation as well as a proven track record of strategic planning and implementation and a sensitivity to the requirements of dance is essential. Experience of people management including the training and support of colleagues and experience of financial and budgetary control are also required.

Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding procedures and legislation, Equality, Inclusion and Diversity and data protection, together with sound IT skills and all round first class communication skills in English will be needed. Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task, and meet deadlines demonstrating a keen eye for detail, are essential.

Experience of small and large-scale project management, engaging with Trusts and Foundations on funded arts projects and drawing up and implementing policies would be an advantage but not essential.
