Job Description

DanceEast is looking for experienced and creative Artists to deliver on its new Digital Primaries project. This innovative project will develop the delivery of dance in primary schools across Suffolk and beyond, through a live co-teaching model. This is a thrilling opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to exciting and fast-evolving developments in dance education.

The successful candidate will collaborate with our Lead Artist Tom Hobden and Digital Partners at the DanceHouse to experiment with new technologies through online platforms and beyond testing the use of Green Screen and Virtual and Augmented Reality.  The artist will also work alongside educational advisors to develop a cross-curricular programme of work.

The artist should be highly experienced at teaching dance to primary aged children.  They should be confident in developing schemes of work and be engaging to a younger audience.  It is important that the artist is confident with technology and open to collaboration across sectors.  Experience of delivering dance online is desirable.

Rate of Pay:  You will be paid a day rate of £200 for this project and should expect minimum of 15 days work on a freelance contract.  Travel to the DanceHouse will be reimbursed after the first 10 miles of journey (capped at £35).
