Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Dance Studies Officer to join a globally recognised leader in arts education.


The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education, teaching, promoting and investing in the development of dance world-wide.

A vacancy has arisen for a confident administrator who is highly organised and is keen to join a creative, passionate team. As the point of contact for prospective students, parents, carers and staff you will be an excellent communicator and will be able to build strong relationships at all levels.

You will need:

  • Attention to detail: the ability to maintain focus and accuracy in data entry and ensure compliance with programme specifications.
  • Excellent customer-service skills, verbal and written communication skills and confidence dealing with enquiries.
  • Ability to manage time, to multi-task, and to work within a team while also showing your own initiative.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Proficient numeracy skills is a must, too!
  • Experience of working in an administrative capacity within a busy, friendly office environment, plus working with budgets.
  • Knowledge: of 14-19 education programmes.


It’s a bonus if you:

  • Have experience of co-coordinating GCSE and/or AS and A-level Dance courses
  • Have previous dance or teaching experience.
  • Have knowledge of data protection legislation, as well as safeguarding related issues, and health and safety practices.
  • Have the ability to: use online email marketing software, edit website pages, analyse and process data, and contribute/develop strategic ideas.
