Job Description

Freelance Community Dance Artist


Green Candle Dance Company is seeking to enlarge its pool of freelance Community Dance Artists.

Applicants should have at least 3 years’ experience and excellent skills in leading dance with children and young people, with and without physical disabilities and/or severe or profound learning difficulties.


The post involves practical teaching, facilitating and choreographing dance with all the above groups, as well as fostering and developing new and existing projects and partnerships. The work will also include related project planning, administration and evaluation.


The post is offered on a freelance basis. The successful applicant will need to be registered as self-employed and will be responsible for their own National Insurance and tax arrangements .

Candidates will be selected by interview and teaching audition.


Closing date for applications: 12 noon, Friday 17th January 2020.

Interviews will be on Thursday 23rd January 2020

Teaching auditions will be held between 27th and 30th January 2020
