Invite your MP to Speak Up for Dance
Wednesday 3 April, 14.30 -16.30 Room R, Portcullis House
On Wednesday 3 April, Pauline Latham MP, Parliamentary Ambassador for the performing arts will be hosting a parliamentary drop in session at Portcullis House.
Members and representatives from the Association of British Orchestras, One Dance UK, UK Theatre and Society of London Theatre will be present to discuss the performing arts and their own sectors in more detail. The four membership organisations represent the performing arts across the United Kingdom, and are working together to provide a voice to highlight the achievements of the sector and ensure its resilience in the future, in particular through investment in the talent pipeline, creative education and continued international relationships.
The meeting will be a celebration of the success of the performing arts sector at home and abroad, will raise awareness of the opportunities to build on this in the coming years, and will present an opportunity to raise any issues or concerns facing the dance sector with key influencers and policy makers.
One Dance UK is committed to advocating for dance, and for driving positive change and developments to benefit all who are involved in the sector. We are calling on our members and supporters to ask their local member of parliament to attend this drop in meeting, show their support for dance and the performing arts and to be part of the conversation.
