Tell me more about the children’s workshop

Responding to who attends, our inclusive workshop will be for children aged 2 upwards (negotiable dependent on participant need) and will be a great chance for your children to move and be creative whilst you are developing your dance skills. It is advisable to bring a bottle of water and a snack.

Can I bring my child into the adult sessions?

This is a personal choice and we want to make everyone welcome without childcare being a barrier to participate. At the same time, we also understand that some of you may prefer your child not to be with you. You will be asked to indicate your intentions through the booking process.

We are happy to have children in the space when we are hosting our webinar, but attendees need to remember that the webinar content is aimed at adults, not children.

For the dance workshop, if people would like to have their baby with them, then we welcome this. We are providing a workshop for children alongside the adults to enable children aged 2 upwards to have a session more geared towards them and give you the freedom to work on your own practice.

Alternatively, you may want to have the day out for yourself and leave your child with a trusted relative or friend, and they could take advantage of the discount to Dinosaur World Live that is taking place in the Hippodrome Building during that day. A discount code will be sent to you when you have booked your spot.

What facilitates are there at the venue to support me with my child?

We are able to provide a pram park, quiet space and feeding room, kitchen (with fridge, microwave, kettle, drinking water and teas and coffees), nappy disposal.

Although we have identified changing rooms as the best place for nappy changing, you will need to bring change mats and equipment for this, along with any other feeding equipment, clothes and toys that you think your child will need as at other play sessions or groups.

Financial support

We are committed to supporting parents in dance. If you are experiencing any financial challenges that may affect your ability to attend, please get in touch as we may be able to help – [email protected].

Any further questions – please get in touch with [email protected]

We look forward to welcoming you to this event!
