Dr Martin Hargreaves appointed as Director of Undergraduate Programmes at London Contemporary Dance School
Leading international conservatoire London Contemporary Dance School is delighted to announce that Dr Martin Hargreaves will be joining the senior management team as Director of Undergraduate Programmes in July 2017.
Martin was previously Programme Leader of The Body in Performance MA at Trinity Laban; from 2003 to 2013 he was the Editor of Dance Theatre Journal and most recently he has been Guest Dramaturg at South East Dance’s Dramaturg in Residence programme, Lecturer in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University of London and a Visiting Lecturer in Performative Practices at DOCH, School of Dance and Circus in Stockholm.
Professor Veronica Lewis, MBE, Principal, London Contemporary Dance School says of the appointment; “I am delighted that Martin is joining the staff of London Contemporary Dance School. His extraordinary knowledge and experience in current dance development means that we will have an even stronger faculty of committed dance professionals teaching within our school.”
Dr Martin Hargreaves says; “London Contemporary Dance School attracts students from across the world, arriving with a wide range of dance practices and experiences. It is an important moment to affirm education as a means of international cultural exchange and provocation and I’m excited to join the staff in facilitating this exploration and celebration of embodied knowledge through performance.”
