Alice uses release-based technique and agility to explore dynamic qualities and textures. This class will focus on analysing body mechanics and shifting as one unit to create speed and efficiency whilst moving. Alice graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2015. Since then, she has worked with companies and artists: Stopgap, Made by Katie Green, Barnaby Booth, Casson & Friends, Chhaya Collective, Tino Sehgal, Lina Lapelyte, Dirtmarket, Hawk Dance Theatre and The Knotted Project. Alice teaches company classes for Stopgap and has taught Pro Dance class in Nottingham and Leicester. She has also worked on projects as a movement director, rehearsal director and is a qualified Pilates teacher. Alice continually evolves her way of cultivating and celebrating individuality whilst teaching and creating. Class description Dance: KJ's class is energetic, physical and uses athletic drive. Key components include sequential floor work and dynamic vocabulary challenging the whole body.  Class description Yoga: An energizing yoga class to warm and balance the body. You’ll be led through a series of dynamic flowing asanas to tone the body, increase the range of movement and improve strength, agility and coordination. KJ currently performs for Stopgap Dance Company and Commotion Dance. KJ integrates release technique, flying low and yoga into her dance practice. KJ began her contemporary dance training at The University of Chichester graduating with a 1st Class BA (Hons) degree in 2010, after which she went on to join Transitions Dance Company where she toured internationally and gained her Masters Degree in Dance Performance from Trinity Laban (MA).  During her professional dance career she has performed for a number of choreographers such as Akram Khan, Lila Dance, James Wilton, Flexer and Sandiland, Jorge Crecis, Balbir Singh, Yukiko Masui, Laowai Collab Dance, GlassHouse, Tim Casson, Katie Green and Marisa Zanotti.   KJ gives much of her time to the both the yoga and dance ecology in teaching, producing and co-creating community dance projects. KJ teaches a full range of ages and styles including teaching as an associate lecturer at the University of Chichester since 2014. >> SAVE MONEY - £7 Per Class or BOOK 4 Classes for £22 ! &lt;&lt; PROFESSIONAL DANCE CLASSES – THE DANCE THEATRE SPACE – UNIVERSITY OF CHICHESTER www.dancetheatrespace.com The University of Chichester Dance Department will be offering a weekly Pro Class every Tuesday evening from the 31st May through to the 30th August. The intensive is open to dancers aged 16 or older. We welcome all recreational dancers, students, and professional dancers including teachers, choreographers, and other professionals.
