Centre Stage: October 2020
This month for our Centre Stage feature, we are celebrating Black History Month! As part of our ‘I Move’ campaign this summer, we reached out to those working and practicing within the field of Dance of the African Diaspora and asked them to share with us why DAD is important to them, the challenges that they are facing at the moment and their hopes for the future.
In this first installment, we talk to Niquelle LaTouche. Niquelle is a dance artist and educator based in London. She is CEO and Founder of Niquelle LaTouche Arts and It Takes A Village Collective and specialises in Dancehall and Hiphop. She is also a poet, a choreographer, and an artist.

Welcome to Centre Stage where we celebrate the diverse and innovative work of our members! Each month, following a different theme, we’re going to take a look at what our members are doing to support and improve the dance sector. We’re going to chat to a wide range of people who are working in the dance world, and film insights into what they get up to. So, why not take a break from your day and get inspired or maybe learn something new about dance! Don’t miss this opportunity to get an exclusive look behind the scenes in the dance world. Keep an eye out on our social media for more updates! If you are keen to be involved, please send us an email at email@example.com.
