One Dance UK Awards 2018 – Planning Your Visit


The One Dance UK Awards 2018 takes place on Saturday 24 November at 6.30pm at James Graham, Leeds Beckett University, Church Wood Avenue, LS6 3QS. If you have any accessibility needs, then please do let us know by email in advance:

Getting to Leeds

Train – Closest Station: Leeds Train Station (New Station St, Leeds LS1 4DY). You can find out more about train ticket information on the National Rail website 

Driving – Leeds has good motorway links to the M1, M62 and M621.

Getting to Leeds Beckett University

Bus– Bus route to Headingley campus takes up to 45 minutes from Leeds train station. You can plan your journey by bus via the First Leeds Website:  Headingley station is 10 minutes by train from Leeds Station.

Walking– 15 minute walk from Headingley Station, via Queenswood Road to Leeds Beckett University. Please note: This route includes a footpath through Beckett Park. Alternatively, you can turn off Queenswood Road onto Foxcroft Mount and then follow Batcliffe Mount to St. Chads Drive.

Driving – For Headingley Campus, you need to use the main entrance off Churchwood Avenue (for sat nav use: LS16 5LF), as St Chad’s Drive is for permit Holders Only.

Parking– Pay and Display at Headingley Campus, accessed from Churchwood Avenue Entrance. Parking costs 80p an hour

Nightlife – Brand new to the city is the Leeds Arena, hosting over 140 live entertainment events each year, such as concerts, family shows, ice dancing, and much more. Although if you’re seeking to dance into night then look no further. With countless nightclubs and bars, there is sure to be something to suit every taste.

Countryside – Just beyond the busy and buzzing city, Leeds provides the perfect gateway into the neighbouring region of Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is practically on the doorstep. Perfect for a taking a break away from city life.
