bbodance and South Thames College are thrilled to announce that applications are open for this year’s Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance, which starts this September

Students between 15 and 19 years old are encouraged to apply to this fully funded course that is an approved access path to London Studio Centre.

The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance will run full-time from September 2018 to June 2020. Students will mainly take classes in our state-of-the-art riverside studios, with additional sessions in the nearby South Thames College, Wandsworth.

Students will work on dance and performance techniques, choreography, production, and teaching skills, and these will be underpinned by classroom-based contextual studies. Students will also have the chance to perform in local and wider communities during the programme.

The bbodance Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance has been specifically designed to prepare students for a career in the dance industry. Due to its London location, the course is able to provide an outstanding range of current industry-level, professional teachers, and offer specialist masterclasses. Students can also benefit from the vast array of dance performances and opportunities within our nation’s capital.

To apply, students need four GCSEs A*-C or 9-4 with English at 9-3, or a relevant Level 2 Diploma at Merit + or above. Students should have dance experience at Level 2 or equivalent, be dedicated to all areas of dance training, and speak and write English fluently.

Upon completion, students may opt to progress onto vocational dance training, pursue a dance degree at a university or dance school, or train to become a dance teacher with bbodance.

To apply, register for our next Open Afternoon on 23 March, and complete an application on the South Thames College website.

For any questions about the programme, please email our friendly team.
