Afro Dance Xplosion 2021 – United we Dance!
Now in its 11th year and nominated for a One Dance award, Afro Dance Xplosion delivers yet again to London a dynamite weekend of celebration, featuring some of the very best dance and music in the African Diaspora. The weekend, cram packed with workshops, kicks off on Friday night with the live performance UNITED WE DANCE, bringing together top international performers with styles rooted in African dance and rhythms. This powerful, high energy show takes us on a journey from the storytelling traditions of Senegal through to the lyrical Rumba of Cuba and on to Jamaica, America, Hip Hop and Afro Vibes.
Workshops will run throughout the weekend.
Festival director Carolyn Lily says: “More than ever we need to connect and celebrate the importance and influence of all styles of dance and music inspired by African culture and traditions.
