An opportunity to get a taste of world-class dance training at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance at different locations across the UK

Trinity Laban is running a brand-new set of workshops for young people considering full-time training in contemporary dance and/or those who would like to know more about Higher Education and careers in the dance sector. A pilot was run at Pavilion Dance in Bournemouth at Easter, and the programme is now being rolled out to Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Salford.

Participants will spend a day with members of Trinity Laban’s world class faculty, taking part in contemporary, ballet and creative dance classes and hearing about conservatoire training and the audition process for our flagship BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance programme. There will also be various talks from special guests, including the Dean of the Faculty of Dance, Sara Matthews*.

Sara commented –

“I’m delighted that Trinity Laban is developing a broader offer nationally for our work with young people. As a London-based institution, we’re always looking for ways to reach people across the UK, especially when they may not have the provisions to be able to visit us at our permanent home. We want to make sure that young people, whatever their background, have the information they need to make decisions about a career in dance. Trinity Laban may seem a long way away if they do not live in the South East, and The Regional Dance Days are intended to bridge that gap.”

Regional Dance Days are designed for young people in years aged 15-18 who are considering full-time training in contemporary dance, or those who would like to know more about Higher Education and careers in the dance sector.

Each day costs £15 and is non-refundable. Places can only be booked online and must be booked in advance. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

Please note, these days are for individuals only and not for school/college groups. For more information on group days, please visit the Trinity Laban website.
