U.Dance 2016 National Festival
U.Dance 2016 took place 8-10 July, at The Lowry, Salford, showcasing the best dance talent from around the country.
The 2016 festival was presented in partnership with The Lowry, North West Dance, The National Youth Dance Company, UTC Media City, the English Folk Dance & Song Society and the University of Salford. The involved around 450 young dancers and 50 group leaders from around the country.
Each year the U.Dance National Festival showcases a selection of dance groups from all over the country in a range of performances. But U.Dance is not just about performance – it’s a chance for hundreds of young people to take part in workshops and masterclasses with dance industry professionals, inspire each other with a love of dance and develop their understanding within the dance sector.
This year’s festival included:
