Preparing to Fly

The physical, mental and aesthetic requirements of aerial arts and acrobatics can be challenging. Ensuring you are fully prepared for these demands will help to reduce the risk of injury.
At this three-hour event, we will discuss the various components of fitness (including balance, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, strength, endurance and rest); how to structure training effectively for aerial arts and acrobatics; hypermobility; and how to complete a thorough warm-up and cool down.
The session will end with a practical workshop to embody the taught content and consolidate strategies to take away with you to ensure your future practice has a reduced risk of injury, allowing you to further enjoy your time in the air!
